Caring for the Earth & Honoring Your Loved One
A memorial gift is a great way to honor a loved one and support land restoration at Carolina Memorial Sanctuary. Following are ways you can create a memorial to your loved one through restoration and conservation of important ecological habitats. These items will be placed in areas in most need of restoration at the discretion of Carolina Memorial Sanctuary. Memorial Gifts fall into the following categories:
- Memorial Plantings
- Winged Friends
- Memorial Benches
- Celebration Spaces & Signage
- Habitat Restoration
If you would like to purchase a memorial gift or contribution for yourself or a loved one, please submit the form at the bottom of this page.
Many people love the idea of having a memorial planting as part of the burial service or after burial, near the gravesite. Our restoration plan dictates where we plant and what we plant. If the burial location does not allow for a new planting, there are many areas in the Sanctuary where a memorial plant can be planted in the name of a loved one. Once you submit the form below, we will follow up to discuss the planting options based on the location. (We recommend reading the Memorial Planting blog to learn more about Memorial Planting.)

Throughout the sanctuary, graphic signage will be placed with site and trail maps and/or identifiers of plant and animals indigenous to the habitat. Your gift will be noted too, with a memorial plaque on the sign.
